Depart early in the morning for your class trip to Washington, D.C. Arrive at the National Mall, spend time exploring a few of the Smithsonian museums (the nation’s attic). A few popular museums include the National Air and Space Museum, the National Museum of Natural History or the National Museum of the American Indian. Have dinner in Union Station and check into your hotel. Enjoy a lighted, panoramic tour of the Capital City Monuments!
In the morning, visit Mount Vernon and tour the historic home of the first president of the United States. After stopping for a group lunch and a photo opportunity at the White House you will proceed to Arlington National Cemetery for a guided tour and the changing of guard ceremony. In the evening, enjoy a fun night of pizza and bowling!
Spend the morning in DC on a professionally guided tour of the city. See the Capitol, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress. Continue visiting the Smithsonian Museums such as the National Museum of American History and the Smithsonian Castle. Have a guided walking tour of the Memorials.
Walk through the National World War II Memorial that is an outstanding tribute to all American soldiers and civilians who served. Continue on and learn about the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that honors thousands of Americans who served during the Vietnam War. Visit the Lincoln memorial and reflecting pool. Have a guided tour of the Kennedy Center with an option to see a performance at the center.
Free day in the city. Continue touring the many free museums on the National Mall. Have a group dinner in the historic Union Station.
